Day 7 - More fun in Crested

Another lovely day here in Colorado. The continental breakfast at our European style lodge was delish! I'll snap a picture tomorrow. Homemade granola and museli with yogurt or milk - freshly baked pastries - good coffee and more.

After breakfast R took off for more biking and I headed to the local yoga studio. Very good class but definitely different from the yoga studios back home. I'll just say that the class ended with the hugging ritual. Yes, we all took turns hugging each other.

We met up again for lunch then drove up the mountain. I went hiking, R continued riding.

Snodgrass Trailhead.

If you look closely, you can see R headed up the mountain.

A grove of Aspen trees.

Enjoying the fresh mountain air.

As I walked up this path, I kept thinking of this quote from Robert Frost:

“I took the road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”

I spent the rest of the afternoon reading and enjoying the weather while R rode a few more trails. For dinner we chose the Gourmet Noodle. Yum!

Ryan patiently awaiting his huge bowl of pasta.

Headed to Colorado Springs tomorrow morning...

  1. Love all the pictures from Crested Butte-what a fun place! It made me laugh out loud when you wrote about the "hugging ritual", that's hilarious!
